Use your own bot account
Send bot messages from your own Twitch account instead of TipPageBot - a TipPage+ feature.
By default the bot speaks as TipPageBot. With TipPage+ you can link a Twitch account of your own - YourNameBot - and every bot message in your chat comes from it instead. Commands, announcements, everything else works exactly the same.
Before you start
You need a separate Twitch account for the bot. It can’t be your streaming account (we’ll reject that), and one bot account can only serve one channel.
Open the Chat bot page
In the Bot status panel, find the Custom bot account row and click Connect custom bot. (Not on TipPage+? You’ll see an unlock button instead.)
Switch accounts on Twitch
This is the step that catches people: Twitch connects whichever account your browser is signed into. On the Twitch page, click Not you? and sign in with the bot account - not your streaming account. The dashboard walks you through this before sending you over.
Authorise
Approve the permissions (they let the account send chat messages as a bot) and you’re returned to the dashboard with the bot connected.
Give the new bot account a mod too: /mod YourBotName.
Disconnecting
Disconnect bot in the same panel reverts everything to TipPageBot instantly. If your TipPage+ lapses, the custom bot switches off with it.
