Tip alerts
What plays on stream when someone tips - and where each part of it is configured.
When a tip lands, your overlay pops the alert - name, amount, message - plays your alert sound, then reads the message out with TTS. The pieces are configured in three places, on purpose, so here’s the map:
| What | Where |
|---|---|
| The look - style, animation, colours, font, position | The Tip alert widget in the overlay editor |
| The voice - language, speed, pitch, what gets read | The TTS page |
| The chat announcement - bot message when someone tips | The Chat toggle on the tip row of the Alerts page |
| What’s allowed through - filtered words, blocked donors | Filter and Bans |
The flow of a tip alert
Tips queue up - alerts never talk over each other. If TTS is paused (from Controls), tips stack in the queue until you resume. You can skip whatever’s playing, and replay past tips from the TTS history or with the bot’s !tts replay command.
The chat announcement
If you want TipPageBot to post in chat when someone tips, flip the Chat toggle on the Tip row of the Alerts page. The bot needs to be enabled for messages to send.
