The **Channel Points** page maps your existing Twitch custom rewards to TipPage actions. A viewer redeems the reward on Twitch, and TipPage does something with it - mix and match per reward.

## The actions

| Action | What happens on redemption |
| --- | --- |
| **Grant credit** | The viewer gets free-message credits ([sub rewards](/viewers/sub-rewards)) - you set how many |
| **Fire alert** | An alert plays on your overlay, like any other Twitch alert |
| **Bot message** | The bot posts a message in chat - templated, so it can name the redeemer |
| **Song request** | A TipPage-managed reward that queues a song pick |

## Setting one up

Open **Channel Points**, pick one of your channel's custom rewards from the list (it's pulled live from Twitch), and choose the action(s). Done - redemptions start working immediately.

:::note[Requirements]
Channel points are a Twitch Affiliate/Partner feature, so this page needs an Affiliate or Partner channel. If the dashboard shows a **Reconnect Twitch** prompt, TipPage needs the channel points permission from your account - click it and re-authorise.
